Sycamore Lodge is proud to present the 9th Annual Young Musicians Chamber Music Program, led by Lodge members Ted Seitz and Cathy O’Connor, coming in July/August 2019. This two week, tuition-free music program, held at the Hayward Odd Fellows Hall, is open to young string musicians, ages 12 – 18, from beginners to advanced.
Instrumentalists will be organized into groups — usually trios, quartets or quintets — based on ability and experience. All students should be able to play and read music notation and simple rhythms. Ensembles work with coaches to learn the art of playing chamber music without a conductor.
